ABOUT



The Arabic Language Teachers’ Association is a not for profit organisation which was founded in 2016 with the following aims: 

 

  1. To promote the study and teaching of the Arabic language in Western Australia.

  2. Identify the needs of teachers of Arabic in Western Australia. 

  3. Establish collaboration among teachers of Arabic. 

  4. Foster collegiality in all sectors of Education, AISWA (Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia and SCSA (School Curriculum and Standards Authority).

  5. Keep abreast with the variety of changes and trends of languages teaching methodology. 

  6. To organise engaging activities for students of the Arabic language. 

  7. Keep members informed of any curriculum requirements and changes. 

  8. Organise and encourage the participation of members in professional learning opportunities. 

  9. Liaise with the broader Arabic speaking community to raise awareness of the Association’s activities, aims and objectives. 

  10. Keep professional links with other professional languages associations: MLTAWA (Modern Language Teachers’ Association and the AFMLTA (Australian Federation of Modern Language Teachers’ Association).
